LUSH Easter Products 2016

Firstly let's just appreciate on how colourful and pretty these products look... yep, you have done well once again LUSH. LUSH has got to be one of my favourite shops of all time, and most of you will know that I actually used to work for the company for 3 years. So with some of the LUSH Easter products being a few of my favourite, I thought that I'd put together a little LUSH Easter Haul (with a few Mothers Day products thrown in) so you guys can check out what is in the range this year. I must say that I am pretty impressed with the variety, I love that they have kept a few Easter favourites and then have introduced a few new ones. I am kind of gutted that they did not bring back Bunny Bubbleroon though. So with Easter bath bombs being a lot healthier than chocolate eggs, let's take a little look what's on the menu:

Above: click on the thumbnail above to check out my LUSH Easter Haul 2016
Bunch of Carrots has returned to LUSH with a brand new look... they are in different colours! Last year all of the carrots were just orange, but now they are orange, pink and purple! Talk about stealing the show. The carrots smell extremely fresh and they are jammed packed with bergamot oil and lemon oil. All you need to do is swish one of them around the bath to create bubble glaciers, or if you are lazy like me, attach one to your bath tap to allow the water to run onto it.

Fluffy Egg is such a LUSH Easter classic. Smelling just like the most loved Snow Fairy scent which is only up for grabs around Christmas time, this bath bomb will sure feed your addiction for the beautiful pink stuff right up until the end of the year. Decorated with real icing flowers and cute patterns, this bath bomb is definitely a safe bet for any person who simply loves pink (I would say cake too, but you can't eat those icing flowers because they taste like soap... Yes I did try in my video).

Golden Egg is a little LUSH Easter underdog, I guess it isn't everyones cup of tea until they actually try it. So with it not being either a bath bomb or a bubble bar, many people think that bath melts are just boring. Err, but not this one my friends. Sugared with a beautiful gold Agar Agar gel (to make it look like glitter) this bath melt is luxurious in every single way. Whilst the Argar Agar gel dissolves in the bath (so you don't have to dread the awful mess), this bath melt makes your skin feel ever so soft and hydrated. Smelling a little like Terry's Chocolate Orange, this bath melt is just perfect for Easter!

Which Came First bath bomb has got to be a LUSH favourite for all. Whilst it may just look like one huge bath bomb, it is actually 3-1! The idea is that you crack this bath bomb like an egg, which then releases a smaller egg inside, and this counts as your first bath. You can then use each piece of the outer shell as your second and third bath (clever ay?). Smelling a little like grapefruit, lemon and cocoa butter, this bath bomb is just the ultimate Easter gift this year.

Humpty Dumpty is brand new to the Easter 2016 range and it smells ever so sexy (not going to lie). Smelling just like Honey Bee bath bomb, It's Raining Men Shower Gel, Gold Fun, and Butterball, I predict that this bath bomb is going to be a sell out this Easter. Just like the Which Came First bath bomb, this Humpty Dumpty has an alter ego so don't be fooled by the one bath bomb one bath rule. There is in fact three too *winky emoji*. So if you are in a hump and down in the dumps, flip your spirits by having a bath with Humpty Dumpty!

Ladybird bubbleroon is actually a product from the Mothers Day range, but I was too intrigued to leave it out of my shopping basket. Infused with geranium and peppermint, this product smells a little like Rehab shampoo and Mask of Magnaminty facemark. Mmm how refreshing! All you need to do is tear a bit off, crumble it into the bath, and watch the bubble glaciers grow bigger and bigger. You can use the whole lot of you want to, but I tend to get 2-3 baths out of a bubbleroon this size.

Rose Bombshell bath bomb has got to be my favourite out of them all. Despite it being another Mothers Day product, it smells just like Rose Jam bubbleroon and Rose Jam shower gel which happens to be my favourite LUSH scent of all time. Encased in a beautiful pink, the inner bit to this bath bomb is actually green, so you can watch it turn different colours before turning the bath water pink (with some romantic rose petals to finish). This is what Sunday bath times should be made of.

What is your favourite LUSH Easter product this year?

London Fashion Week 2016

OMG. London Fashion Week was just insane! The buzz of London, celebrity spotting and clothes that I will most probably never be able to afford, it was quite the experience for little old me who is a right country bumpkin. This was my first year attending LFW and it was so amazing to be invited by both Toni & Guy and River Island. What I mainly loved about the event is that there isn't just one type of person who goes, I mean, you have the bloggers and vloggers (like me), the hardcore fashionistas, the well to do, and those who I would consider to dress very high street. It isn't limited to one type of person and I really think that it is quite nice seeing as though fashion is very subjective in itself. Not only was I invited to the Toni & Guy and River Island press events, but I was also invited to watch a few fashion shows and go back stage (pretty cool right!). So let's take you through my day in order:

After deciding that I didn't want to drive all the way to London, I took the train and met my sister in Piccadilly. We then made our way to Leicester Square (to one of the LFW locations) to get our hair done in one of the Toni & Guy pop up salons. I went for a blow dry and style, and my twin sister went for a hair cut and a blow dry. I had my hair styled in loose beach curls with two plaits in my fringe, and my sister had it styled straight (very 90s). I loved how professional and well kitted out the salon was and the staff were extremely friendly. We then checked out a number of designers before heading off to our next location (it was all go, go, go!).

We then headed to Covent Garden to see the Apu Jan and House of MEA shows. I have never been to a catwalk event in my life, but I honestly think that I will be going to a lot more now as they are honestly insane. The models were not size 0 and the atmosphere was so relaxed. We went backstage to see the girls get ready and we were also invited to sit in on the dress rehearsals (how VIP).

After watching the shows and taking a number of shameless selfies, we then went for some late lunch at Bella Italia. We then opened our goodie bags to discover lots of gifts from The Body Shop and Toni & Guy. It was such an amazing day spent with my twin sister (who I unfortunately do not see very often due to living apart), and it was amazing to see her grab my camera and start vlogging in public (the gal has got guts!). As I have done quite a lot of cool things already in 2016, I will be bringing out a YouTube video on it all very soon (there's just one other cool event that I want to vlog first). In the meantime be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel and enter my huge prize giveaway which ends very soon.

Have you been to London Fashion Week before?

Boohoo Daisy Tie Waist Shirt Skater Dress| London Fashion Week

I'm so excited to go to London Fashion Week today! It's every fashionista's dream. So with little preparation for the big event, I was extremely lucky to receive this gorgeous Daisy Tie Waist Shirt Skater Dress from Boohoo in time. Since it is a little chilly here in the UK, I will also be strolling around London in my New Look Camel Double Breasted Coat and Tartan Scarf from Top Shop (it is currently my favourite fashion pairing). The plan is to drive to my twin sister's flat in London in the morning, and then go and get blow drys courtesy of Toni & Guy. I will then watch a couple of shows and go backstage before heading onto River Island's sponsored event (exciting!).

I have always wanted to buy a shirt dress but for some reason I have always been too scared to buy one (not sure why, I just fear that they won't suit me). But finally plucking up the courage, I decided to go for this Daisy Tie Waist Shirt Skater Dress in berry red (and isn't it just gorgeous). I have accessorised this dress with the following: H&M white marble earrings, Boohoo white marble necklace, H&M gold ring necklace, Boohoo gold bangle, Daniel Wellington Watch, Kurt Geiger beige bag, River Island black boots.

Be sure to check out my Get Ready With Me (London Fashion Week) video by clicking the thumbnail below. Not only will you see my whole outfit, but you can also check out how I achieved my hair and makeup look. Also don't forget to enter my huge Belated New Years Giveaway where you can win lots of high end beauty products and a camera!

What would you wear to London Fashion Week? Do you like shirt dresses?

Happy mid week everyone! How is everyone doing? Well a little bit of exciting news... I am heading off to London Fashion Week this weekend with Toni & Guy and River Island (how exciting)! I am going to take my twin sister with me so I reckon you guys will finally meet her (hooray). So in aid of one of the most important weeks in a fashionista's calendar, I will most definitely be wearing my Camel Double Breasted Beige Coat by New Look to the show. Some of you may know that I already possess a beige coat from New Look (Outfit Of The Day), but I wanted something that screamed more sophistication if that makes sense? It is ever so soft, warm and the length is just perfect... it looks amazing with pretty much everything. You have done me proud NL!

When In Rome

Not even a bunch of adventurous Menghinis can overcome the When In Rome cliché. Rome you sure did lead the ropes on this one. Before I go into this post some of you are probably thinking one thing, who are the Menghinis? Well before I introduce you to my mad bunch, let's give you the low down on this trip first. Some of you may recall from my last post that I was a little hesitant in announcing this trip, not even a Tweet or an Instagram picture of my passport. Just a mention that I wouldn't be posting much. The trip was arranged by Lucy as a birthday present for Ross (don't worry you will learn who all of these people are further down). The whole trip was kept a secret for months, and Ross's face was a picture when he saw all of us hiding in McDonalds like a bunch of teenagers. I mean the cardboard cut outs of his face was a genius idea. So with my walking shoes and Ray Bans on, this blogger had some adventures and memories to make.

Rome is littered with the most amazing features, even that washing line hung out of the window in the picture above makes the place even more endearing. In the 2 full days that we spent in Rome we walked almost 30 miles, but I must admit that some of that time was spent getting lost around the little ally ways. Whilst many would think that getting lost is undesirable, it is however the best way to come across the best cafe's and restaurants (and not to mention discovering the most prettiest buildings). It was amazing to walk the same cobbles of some of the world's most influential people, and to have the chance to absorb all of the history was a life time opportunity. Even people watching was fascinating!

Even in the UK, a good Italian dish has got to be an Eltoria favourite. But eating Italian food in Rome, there is no competition whatsoever (sorry Jamie Oliver). Every day we ate out and I pretty much tried everything; pizzas, cannelloni, ravioli, pasta, paninis, ice-cream, Italian vino, and even an espresso (and I don't even like strong coffee). Food, drink and even accommodation in Rome isn't that expensive (average dish 9-13 euros), it's just about comparing prices and researching before you go really. After 4 days of indulging myself, I pretty much had to be rolled off the plane back into the UK.

The architecture in Rome is just amazing, I mean, how on earth did the Romans make such perfect buildings without modern technology? It just baffles me. We explored a number of churches, fountains, and buildings, but the most impactful would have to be the Pantheon. As you can see in the photos above, the ceiling is perfectly round. I loved the fact that I could just look up and see the clouds move in all different directions. This building is a must see if you are planning a trip to Rome.

Seeing the Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum can now be ticked off from my bucket list. Ever since watching Mary-Kate and Ashley's 'When In Rome' movie as a kid, it has always been a dream of mine to flip a coin into the Trevi Fountain and make a wish. The fountain itself is just beautiful and the Colosseum on the other hand is really extraordinary. I would have to say that they are two of the most significant attractions to see in Rome (especially if you are short for time).

We also managed to see the Pope at the Vatican! Now even though I am not religious in the slightest, it was still amazing to see and experience. There were around 200,000+ people from all different countries and religions, and the atmosphere was so calm and joyful. We rang nanny Menghini back in the UK (who is a Catholic) and she started to cry on the phone... so cute!

Above: some of you may know this girl from So Olivia Travel Blog, go and check her out if you haven't!
Less about Rome, let's meet the gang! You all know Joe (my boyfriend) from previous posts and videos, so the Menghinis are basically his side of the family. Above we have the Menghini ladies, and starting from the left we have: Lucy (Ross's Fiance), Olivia (Joe's Sister), Theresa (Joe's mum) and of course there's me. Now we are missing another sister (Lissie) and a little niece (Sofia), but I am sure you guys will meet them another time. They were extremely missed on this trip *sad face*.

Now we have the lads! Starting from the left we have Steve (Joe's brother in law), Ross (Joe's brother), Rob (Joe's Dad who is also fluent Italian) and then we have Joe himself.

As with all holidays, taking the perfect selfie and family photo was always going to be on the cards. Look how good looking they all are!

For me, the best thing about this trip was just being with the family. Even though I am not exactly related in any way (yet), it is nice to feel so comfortable and accepted. My fondest memory of this trip was having a few beers around the river. Yes, we did get a little 'tiddly' and yes, that is me with the girls trying to twerk against a wall upside down. But it is these types of memories which makes every family unique.
